Click here to send this news item to a friend Despite the fact that Autumn is nearly upon us the leading ladies of Northern Europe are still in full bloom. Some of the continent's most popular princesses have been turning heads as they brought a little floral charm to their latest public appearances. Denmark's Crown Princess Mary was carrying a bouquet of fuchsia- and midnight blue-coloured flowers when she stepped out in the town of Vejle on Thursday. It was the mum-to-be's radiant appearance that made the biggest impression on well-wishers who turned out to greet her, though.

Her sister-in-law Princess Alexandra was looking equally luminous as she arrived for a function in Copenhagen. The enormously popular royal, who was likewise holding a fuchsia-themed posy, has been making headlines lately for a rumoured romance with photographer Martin Jorgensen. According to reports in the local press Alexandra has once again found love after her divorce from Prince Joachim.

The Danish princesses weren't the only ones making a colourful impact on royal fans, however, as Norway's Mette-Marit was looking in the pink too. And just like Mary and Alexandra, she was also carrying a bouquet of rose-hued buds when she made her entrance at a charity fashion show in the Norwegian capital Oslo.
