Mary and Frederik join Danish royals at lavish dinner

Tiaras and diamonds from the Danish royal family's collection of fabulous jewels got an airing this week at a formal dinner in Copenhagen's Christiansborg palace. And Aussie-born Princess Mary and her husband Crown Prince Frederik continue to look every inch the fairytale couple as they joined Queen Margrethe at the grand affair.

It wasn't just Mary turning heads with her shimmering evening gown; her former sister-in-law Princess Alexandra was equally radiant in a high-collared satin gown and regal tiara. Despite her divorce from Prince Joachim - the father of her two sons - the 42-year-old Hong Kong-born former diplomat is clearly still very much a part of the family.

Joachim, who was also at the dinner, remains on good terms with his former wife, and the devoted parents are regularly seen supporting their boys Nikolai and Felix at school events.

Both have moved on in their love lives. Alexandra stepped out in public for the first time last month with her handsome photographer beau Martin Joergensen, whom she has been dating for a year. Meanwhile, second-in-line to the throne Joachim was, until recently, in a relationship with his French girlfriend of ten months Marie Cavallier.
