"To win an Oscar … how cool would that be, " said Sarah, Duchess of York recently during an interview about her film project Young Victoria.

"Of course, it would be a delight and yes, I think I am proud enough of the movie to say that."

Now it looks as if the flame-haired royal's dream could come true after Hollywood insiders are predicting it could be an Oscar favourite.

"The Academy loves movies about the British royal family," says a source of the film, which could follow in the footsteps of ten-times nominated 2006 movie The Queen.

Starring Emily Blunt and featuring a cameo from the Duchess' daughter Beatrice, the film has already been chosen to close the prestigious Toronto Film festival later this month.

It was the brainchild of Sarah, who wanted to portray the famous monarch's early years and her romance with Prince Albert.

And it's predicted to do well at the box office when it opens in America in November.
