Friends of Princess Marie-Chantal this week descended on Bicester Village, an upmarket outlet shopping village in the heart of leafy Oxfordshire, to celebrate the opening of the royal’s ninth store.

The 40-year old mother-of-five threw a ladies’ brunch for her close friends - a glossy posse of fellow mums including designer India Hicks, mother of twins Nicola Formby, and actress Minnie’s sister, Kate Driver.

Afterwards, they all headed to the new shop to buy their children some of the gorgeous autumn outfits on offer in the princess’ first pop-up store.

And the busy mothers all agreed on one thing - they’re huge fans of the brand.

India, over from Barbados to take her boys back to the boarding school they attend in England, gushed: “The shop is absolutely beautiful and I think it works incredibly well at Bicester. I’m a huge fan."

Fashionista Kim Hersov, agreed. “The collection is exquisite. Marie-Chantal is probably my favourite children’s clothes designer," she said.

"Seeing as I have a one year old, Aidan, I’m very familiar with the range and I really think it’s so well-designed and so cute.

"The clothes are a nice mix of traditional with more contemporary elements. They’re beautifully made and crafted.”
