Europe's royals prepare for another wedding as Nikolaos and fiancée get set to say: 'I do'

Greek mythology whispers of Agamemnon's enchantment with Spetses, an isle renowned for its sweet melodies and fertile lands. Today, this three-hour boat journey from Athens transforms the island into a haven for the elite, having once captivated even Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Soon, Spetses is set to captivate global attention once more, as it hosts the wedding of Prince Nikolaos of Greece and his fiancée, Tatiana Blatnik.

While not a royal wedding in the traditional sense, given King Constantine's dethronement in 1974, the event promises grandeur, drawing in European royalty. The guest list sparkles with luminaries like Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband, Prince Daniel, along with her siblings, Carl Philip and Madeleine. The Spanish royals will also be in attendance, with Queen Sofia, sister of Constantine, marking her presence. The groom's mother Anne Marie, meanwhile, is the sister of Queen Margrethe of Denmark

Tatiana, a striking figure with her ice-cool blonde hair and striking cheekbones, brings her own distinguished lineage to the event. Working for Diane von Furstenberg, the 29-year-old's education spanned Switzerland and the US, and she boasts a heritage as the granddaughter of Ellinka Countess von Einsiedel.

The couple's vows will be exchanged at sunset in the historic, whitewashed 19th-century monastery of Ayios Nikolaos. The celebration continues with a reception overlooking the ancient harbor, where guests will toast to the couple's future amidst the backdrop of the Mediterranean's crystal waters lapping against Garifalo beach.
