Ahead of their wedding next July, Prince Albert of Monaco took his fiancee Charlene Wittstock to Japan on her first official visit to other royalty
When Prince Albert of Monaco took his fiancée Charlene Wittstock to Japan this week, the trip had special significance.
Far from being a typical engagement, it was the first official visit the couple have made to other members of royalty.
And Charlene proved she has mastered the art of regal dressing, looking elegant as she was introduced to Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan before the four enjoyed lunch at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
The European royals are in Japan to attend an environmental conference.
