Monaco royal wedding: Naomi's joy as she sees her former royal love marry

They have remained close since their relationship ended in the mid-Nineties. And Naomi Campbell was one of guests the at the religious ceremony uniting Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Charlene.

It's doubtful that the cover girl was asking herself: 'What if it had been me?'

For one thing, she was accompanied by her partner, billionaire businessman Vladimir Doronin.  With her handsome man at her side, she looked like a girl who has got her own happy ever after.

The couple chatted to friends and Naomi, who was elegantly attired in a long formal green gown with peach fascinator, waved at the congregration as they made their way down red carpet laid out towards the main courtyard.

She was just one of several famous faces at Saturday's ceremony, which was conducted in three languages French and Afrikaans and mingled pomp with intimate family touches.

Her fellow models Victoria Silvstedt – a long-time friend of Albert – and Czech model Karolina Kurkova were also there.

And also from the realm of fashion were designers Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli and Giorgio Armani, who made Charlene's wedding dress.

One of Monaco's best-known residents – 007 himself – Roger Moore was also seen arriving with his wife Kristina Tholstrup.

Also spotted taking his seat was renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, who later sung Ave Maria.
