Seventies groover Charlotte Casiraghi puts her soul into charity caper

It's unlikely that this Seventies outfit, complete with Afro, outrageous sunnies and peace sign, will enhance Charlotte Casiraghi's reputation as one of the most stylish young fillies in the World.

Not that the daughter of Monaco's Princess Caroline will care.

Her fancy dress riding costume was for a bit of giggle at a riding competition in Paris.

In the Gucci Masters, 12 teams consisting of a professional and an amateur battle it out to complete the course in the fastest time.

For fun, competitors were also invited to field jokers.

Other standout teams included one with the riders dressed as Michael Jackson and another for which the film Moulin Rouge was the theme.

Caroline was on hand to catch the fun and would also have been proud to note that the event raised just over £120,000 for charity.

The money will go to AMADE, which the princess supports. It will go towards four projects caring for vulnerable children in the Philippines.
