Wrapped up in winter coats with their faces illuminated by soft Christmas lights, newlyweds Charlene and Albert of Monaco are the images of festive contentment. Strolling through the decorated streets of a specially created Christmas village in Monaco, the royal couple met Santa and enjoyed a series of dances and performances.
They also took time to browse the numerous workshops, traditional wooden chalets and food stalls at the 19th-century-themed market. After their sumptuous wedding in the summer, the couple are looking forward to spending their first festive season as man and wife. But there's still time to fit one more trip into their hectic schedule.
Following their meeting with Father Christmas, the pair jetted out of Monaco to Charlene’s native South Africa where they attended the One Billion Tree event as part of the United Nation's climate change conference.
