High-fiving Beatrice gives Olympic flame the royal touch

With just over a month to go until the Games descend on London, Princess Beatrice was joined by cheering crowds as she welcomed the Olympic torch in Leeds.

The young royal carried the flame into the city's Harewood House, before it moved on to York and was taken around the city's walls.

Fundraiser Janet Baker was on hand to help the flame receive the royal touch and the fun atmosphere was evident as Beatrice high fived members of the public outside the Grade 1 historic building.

Later on show jumper Harvey Smith was to ride the flame into York Racecourse on day 32 of the torch relay around the UK.

Sporty Beatrice has already shown her passion for the 2012 games – back in March, she powered her way round a race in the Olympic Park.

Other members of the Windsor clan are equally involved.

Her cousins Princes William and Harry, alongside the Duchess of Cambridge, will be watching when torchbearers carry the Olympic Flame through Buckingham Palace on July 26.

All of them will be cheering on Zara Phillips, who will be taking part in the Games as part of the Equestrian Team.
