Monaco's finest filly Charlotte does her family proud with showjumping success

Competitors and spectators on the Global Champions Circuit have got used to seeing Charlotte Casiraghi in the chic equestrian gear created for her by Gucci.

But for a prizegiving ceremony this weekend Monaco's royal poster girl, who is a keen amateur showjumper, slipped into an equally chic wrap dress that showed off her athletic figure.

Charlotte, 25, was given a warm kiss by her uncle Prince Albert at the event in Monte Carlo.

Along with his sister Princess Caroline, who is Charlotte's mother, he must be very proud.

As honorary president of the Monte Carlo leg of the competition, which since 2006 has attracted the sport's top names and jet set spectators, his niece has been integral to its development.

Of her 'baby' Charlotte said: "We have worked really hard every year to add new facilities, to raise the standard of the show and make it more special.

That has been a success because people and businesses want to be associated with the event."
