Getting into the spirit of things, the royal eschewed her usual glamorous threads in favour of the official red Danish kit. Sporty scarlet trainers completed the look. After the action, the brunette was spotted greeting Monaco's Prince Albert, who was there with his wife Charlene. Her in-laws, Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik were also soaking up the atmosphere from the stands. Not forgetting her home country, Tasmanian-born Mary met with Australian athletes at a garden party in London on Sunday. She and Frederik will no doubt be relishing their time at the Olympics – which hold special meaning for them. It was during the 2000 Sydney Games that they first met and fell in love.
