Eventing champ Zara turns her expert hand to equestrian clothing

Still on a high from her silver medal win at this summer's OlympicsZara Phillips has launched British brand Musto's new range of equestrian clothing.

Joined by England rubgy star James Haskell at Somerset House on the Strand, the Queen's granddaughter introduced the models as they showed off the clothes that prize function over fashion.

The sporty pair also wore items from the spring/summer collection, which has been named ZP176 in Zara's honour using her initials and the number the she was given on first representing her country.

The 31-year-old has been in partnership with Musto since 2009 and had a hand in the design process for their latest pieces.

Eventing champion Zara praised the clothes and added that she tries and tests every product before it hits the shops.

It seems her expertise means the sportswear fits the bill perfectly as she described: "I just tweaked a few things, like put in a longer cut for the riding jackets, so it won't expose the back if you're riding in the elements."
