Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden has given birth to her second child, a baby boy, with Prince Daniel.
A statement from the Swedish royal household confirmed the happy news, revealing that the couple's son was born at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm on 1 March at 8.28pm local time.
Prince Daniel was by his wife's side throughout the birth, and he later proudly addressed the media to confirm that the little prince was born weighing eight pounds and measuring 22 inches long.
Relive Victoria and Daniel's magical wedding
The couple are already parents to four-year-old Princess Estelle, who will be thrilled to be a big sister. She adores her little cousins Leonore and Nicolas, whose parents are Victoria's younger sister, Princess Madeleine and banker Chris O'Neill.
On occasion the Swedish royals have released pictures of the cousins together, looking as cute as could be.
Victoria, 38, and Daniel, her former fitness instructor, tied the knot in 2010 after dating for eight years. Their spectacular wedding took place on 19 June in Stockholm Cathedral. On 17 August 2011, the royal court confirmed that Crown Princess Victoria was pregnant with her first child, and on 23 February 2012, the couple became parents to Princess Estelle.
