Prince William and Kate presented with 'Team Cambridge' jerseys on day 4 of royal tour

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, got the chance to relive their student days as they started day four of their royal tour of Canada.

The royal couple paid a visit to the Okanagan Campus of the University of British Columbia, where they were met with rapturous cheers and applause by fans who had gathered with signs in honour of their arrival.

Kate, 34, looked as stylish as ever for the occasion in a bespoke emerald green Dolce & Gabbana dress. The Duchess completed the look with an L.K. Bennett nude clutch bag and heels, wearing her glossy locks in her signature bouncy blow dry. Meanwhile William looked smart in a navy blazer and white shirt paired with tan chinos.

Students and staff from the university had gathered to give their royal guests a rousing welcome, before Prince William and Kate marked the 10th anniversary of the Okanagan Campus by unveiling a plaque.

William and Kate's visit continued with a demonstration from UBC Kelowna's nationally ranked women's volleyball team. The royal couple became honorary team members by being presented with "Team Cambridge" jerseys by the athletes, much to their delight.

William and Kate spent 45 minutes exploring the campus, listening to speeches and talking to members of the public before going on to their next engagement.

The royals travelled on to the Government of British Columbia 'Taste of BC' community event, hosted at Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna, where they witnessed the best of agribusiness and the food sector in the region, and learned about the youth training programmes on offer.

Prince William and Kate's busy day will continue with a short flight to Yukon, the next destination on their action-packed eight day tour. They will spend the evening away from their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte at a modest, three-star hotel, the Coast High Country Inn in the town of Whitehorse, before resuming engagements in the town on Wednesday.
