Jetsun is the world's youngest living queen and her philanthropy is extensive.
She works with the Bhutan Red Cross and the Bhutan Kidney Association and is also patron of the Royal Society for the Protection of Nature.
Yahia Alibi, head of the ICRC regional delegation for India, Bhutan, Nepal and the Maldives told HELLO!: "At the launch of the Bhutan Red Cross Society in 2017, Her Majesty The Queen of Bhutan had stated that BRCS would strive to become a network of volunteers in communities throughout Bhutan that would provide services in the areas of social inclusion, health and disaster risk management.
"The past few months of work to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are a testimony to the work BRCS volunteers are doing to uphold this commitment in its true spirit."
Queen Jetsun's love of the environment is strong and she also spends time as an Ozone Ambassador to the United Nations, while she supports the mission of Ability Bhutan Society which helps people with special needs and disabilities.
