Royal memorabilia in honour of Queen's Coronation

All eyes are on the Queen's Coronation service taking place at Westminster Abbey, which commemorates the pivotal moment when Princess Elizabeth was crowned Queen Elizabeth II, sixty years ago. Royal mania fever has swept the country and to celebrate the big day, commemorative memorabilia has been released for the public to enjoy in honour of the Queen's six-decade reign. Images of Her Majesty, both old and new, have been printed on a wide range of souvenirs and keepsakes, from Coronation mugs to decorative plates to luxury cushions. HELLO! Online has put together a selection of the luxury memorabilia and Coronation-inspired products that are available to the public.

The special service will be held at Westminster Abbey where the 87-year-old monarch will be accompanied by her husband Prince Philip. Other royal guests who are also expected to attend are Prince William and Kate Middleton who is nearing her due date, Prince Harry, and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. Compared to her Coronation on 2 June 1953 when the then 27-year-old monarch made a promise to serve her country before 8,251 guests at Westminster Abbey, this year's event will be lower key and see around 2,000 guests in attendance. The service will be conducted by the Dean of Westminster, who has written a Coronation Anniversary Prayer approved by the Queen herself.

After the service, the Queen will depart from the Great West Door of the Abbey and travel by car to College Hall to attend a private lunch. Kate will most likely not attend due to her heavy pregnancy. Tuesday's commemoration marks the first event in a string of celebrations to mark the Queen's 60th anniversary. One main event the royal family are looking forward to is the three-day Coronation festival, held in the gardens of Buckingham Palace in July.
