Pauline Ducruet, the daughter of Princess Stephanie of Monaco, has inherited a flair for fashion. So much so, the aspiring fashionista is now in her second year studying design at the Istituto Marangoni in the city of Paris, and this week made her front-row debut at fashion week.Pauline, 19, was pictured attending Alexis Mabille's Parisian presentation of womenswear, watching with interest as the designer's latest collection was unveiled.

Dressed in a simple but chic ensemble – a white shirt, black trousers and buckled cut-out ankle boots – the Monegasque royal blended in seamlessly in the stylish setting.

The collection seemed to capture her imagination, and Pauline was seen snapping pictures on her mobile phone as the designs were paraded up and down the catwalk.

Afterwards she spent time talking to 35-year-old Alexis, who was no doubt delighted by the presence of such a VIP guest.

The House of Grimaldi is arguably the most stylish royal dynasty. From Pauline's late grandmother, Princess Grace  – formerly Grace Kelly – through to her cousin Charlotte Casiraghi, the Monaco ladies have long been feted for their approach to fashion.

Indeed, those we have joined the family through marriage have only strengthened that reputation. Princess Charlene, the wife of ruler Prince Albert, is frequently feted for her sense of style.

And then there is Andrea Casiraghi's new wife, Tatiana Santo Domingo. The 29-year-old Columbian heiress is not only best friends with Margherita and Teresa Missoni, she also owns her own fashion company - in 2011, she launched the ethical Muzungu Sisters line.

Pauline moved to Paris earlier this year with her footballer boyfriend Paul-Noël Ettori. The couple first met in 2011, when Pauline was 17 and the sportsman was 21, and recently started an exciting new phase of their relationship in the city of love.

While Pauline is busy pursuing a career in the fashion industry, Paul–Noël is reportedly trying to establish himself as a model and an actor after retiring from the beautiful game.
