Princess Claire of Luxembourg shows off baby bump at parenting class with Prince Félix

Princess Claire of Luxembourg is expected to give birth in June and in preparation of the arrival of her first child, she paid a visit to a parenting centre in Itzig, Luxembourg. The German-born royal was accompanied by her husband Prince Félix to the Initiativ Liewensufank facility, which aims to give new parents information and support. Claire, 29, dressed her growing baby bump in a black top and trousers and covered up with a bright, blue blazer. Sitting barefoot on a beanbag and looking completely at ease, the princess smiled as she watched her husband learn how to carry a baby as part of a workshop.

Second-in-line to the throne Félix looked confident as he cradled a model baby close to his body as instructed by an assistant. The royal couple were joined by other soon-to-be parents on the course.

The pregnant royal was handed a gorgeous bouquet of flowers by a young girl named Sophie, after which their royal highnesses were given a tour of the facility. Claire looked particularly thrilled to stop by the Second Hand Shop where she admired some adorable baby clothes.

Claire and Félix's trip to the Initiativ Liewensufank would have held a special place in the couple's heart, as they had previously revealed at the time of their wedding in September 2013 that they wanted to support the organisation. The royal couple took the opportunity to thank those who had raised funds for the centre, which was set up to give free classes and services to less privileged new parents. Earlier this year in January, the Grand Ducal family released a statement revealing that Claire, née Lademacher, was pregnant with the couple's first child.

"Their Royal Highnesses the Grand-Duke and Grand-Duchess of Luxembourg are very pleased to announce that Prince Félix and Princess Claire are expecting their first baby," wrote the Marshall of the Court's office. "The birth is expected to take place in June. The Grand-Duke, the Grand-Duchess, Grand-Duke Jean and the members of the Royal Family, as well as the members of the Lademacher family, are delighted with the news." Félix and Claire said "I do" in the magnificent 13th century Sainte Marie-Madeleine basilica in France, the country where they are currently based.
