Princess Beatrice has moved to America to take a finance course, a spokesperson for her mother, Sarah, the Duchess of York, has confirmed to HELLO!.

"Princess Beatrice started a finance course in the US this week", he told HELLO!. The spokesperson did not specify where she would be studying.

The move is a step in the same direction as her sister Princess Eugenie, who moved to Manhattan, New York, in 2013 to start a job at online auction house Paddle8.

No further details of how long the royal, who is sixth in line to the throne, will be Stateside have been shared. Beatrice has a history degree from Goldsmith College in London, where she graduated in 2011. She then landed herself a job as co-ordinating producer for Sony Pictures in Europe, until her departure in December.

The royal follows in her sister's footsteps - Eugenie moved Stateside back in 2013

Since then, she has been enjoying breaks with long-term boyfriend Dave Clark, 32, and her family. She hit the slopes in Verbier, Switzerland, with her sister Eugenie and the girls' cousin Prince Harry and headed to the Caribbean for a touch of winter sun with Virgin Galactic executive Dave. No doubt she'll be visited by her mother the Duchess of York, who has already flown across the Atlantic to spend some quality time with Eugenie. The 24-year-old initially moved to the Big Apple for three months, but landed herself a permanent role and has since become a regular on the city's vibrant social scene.
