Kate and George enjoy fun day out at petting zoo ahead of her due date

Before the arrival of her second baby changes life as they know it, the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, is keen to make sure her son Prince George feels special. The young Prince recently enjoyed a day out with his mother at Snettisham Park, a farm and petting zoo just a short drive from their Anmer Hall home.

Witnesses told New Idea magazine that the 21-month-old was in his element and made a beeline for a sandpit, where he made friends with a group of toddlers. George then reportedly sat on his mum's lap as the children showed off the toys they had bought from the gift shop, including a horse, a cow, a pig and a duck.

Kate is said to have prompted George to copy the noises each animal would make, with the toddler particularly taken with a toy duck and planting a kiss on its head.

Duchess Kate and Prince George enjoyed a day out at a petting zoo

It wasn't long before the boisterous tot was back on his feet and tackling the climbing frame with the support of Kate, who held onto him as he walked up the steps before holding his hand to slide back down to the ground.

The pair, who were joined by three royal protection officers, completed their visit by feeding goats and pigs in the petting zoo. An excited Prince George then joined a group of children to bottle feed a piglet before heading home with his expectant mother.

The fun trip isn't the only outing Kate and George have enjoyed together in recent weeks; they paid a visit to London's Science Museum in March where they spent a few hours exploring the museum's Pattern Pod.

Prince George will soon have a baby brother or sister

Kate's second child with Prince William is due any day now. The mum-to-be has previously revealed that she is due "mid-to-end of April" but has not given away the exact date the new arrival is expected.

It is believed that Kate is planning to extend her maternity leave following the baby's birth so she can spend more time bonding with both her new baby and Prince George.

A source told People: "She has told friends that she wants to fully enjoy the bonding experience for her two children under two years old."
