Royal baby gift guide for your little prince or princess

Royal baby fever is almost upon us. So while the nation waits patiently for announcement of the birth of the new third-in-line to the throne, HELLO! Online has gathered together a selection of gifts inspired by the forthcoming new arrival.

Since Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, nee Kate Middleton have opted to keep the gender of Prince George’s new sibling a surprise, suggestions include items suitable for both little princes and princesses – with ideas from some of Kate’s favourite brands.

These include adan + anais, whose muslin blankets served as a swaddle for George as he made his way home, and Amaia kids – their shorts and socks were worn by the little future King in his last official portrait.

Royal fans might want to snap up the sturdy wooden toy box that was gifted to William and Kate by 10 Downing Street, or pay homage to London with some royal guardsmen-themed toys and clothes.

For a bit of fun, there are fabric crowns for dressing up – in blue and pink – to cover both eventualities, and a balloon in the shape of a corgi dog – the Queen’s favourite breed – makes a change from the typical ones bearing the greeting of ‘its’s a boy/girl’.

Anyone looking for nursery decorations with the royal seal of approval could go for some animal wall stickers which Prince William would certainly approve of. They have been made by Mothercare in association with Tusk, the animal conservation charity of which William is a royal patron.

Finally, as far as baby’s first shoes go, the Step2two black patent Lord shoes certainly have a noble air about them.
