The day of celebrations went without a hitch, which, according to People, is down to Charlene's impeccable planning skills. Sources told the magazine that the Princess oversaw everything; from the Dior christening gowns, which she had started planning shortly after her babies were born, to the lavish luncheon served at the Prince's Palace after the service.People reports that Charlene "has been deeply engaged and consulted on which texts to read, music and the ceremony decoration." She also attended a walk-through rehearsal Saturday afternoon with the children's four godparents.

Upon her arrival at the Cathedral of Monaco, 37-year-old Charlene effortlessly took over caring for her son Prince Jacques, who had been left in the care of the twins' nannies before the couple's arrival.Cradling him in her arms, she then attentively checked that Princess Gabriella was content and that her personalised pink dummy was in her mouth properly before the family entered the church.

Looking on with pride from the front row of guests were Charlene's parents Lynette and Michael Whittstock and her brother Sean. The Zimbabwe-born Princess's other brother Gareth, whom she chose to be Gabriella's godfather, stood supportively by her side near the font.Charlene and Albert both lovingly held their twins as they were lowered over the baptismal font and had their heads bathed with water.Once the main event of the baptism was over, attentive Charlene made sure that her son and daughter didn't get too bored. While the youngsters happily amused themselves for several minutes, Charlene entertained her children, distracting them from the lengthy ceremony
