Duchess Kate dons Queen Mother's diamond earrings for gala

The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, sparkled in extra special jewels to attend the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala Dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum on Tuesday evening – the late Queen Mother's diamond and sapphire fringe earrings.As well as a floral silk dress by London-based label Erdem worth £2,660, Kate teamed the earrings with a diamond bracelet – believed to have been a wedding present from Prince Charles. A £450 Anya Hindmarch 'Maud' satin black clutch completed the dazzling look.

Kate sparkled in extra special jewels to attend a charity gala

Kate appeared to be in great spirits as she joined some of Britain's most high-powered women at the gala, which raised funds for The Art Room, one of the charities she supports.

The beaming Duchess posed for a photograph with the 20-strong board of 100 Women In Hedge Funds, and later presented the 100WHF 2015 European Leadership Award ‎to Elizabeth Corley, chief executive officer of Allianz Global Investors, for her work mentoring future leaders of the investment banking industry.

Kate is a patron of the 100 Women in Hedge Funds' Philanthropic Initiatives. Each year the non-profit organisation chooses a charity to support and all proceeds from the evening are donated to it.

The Duchess wore the late Queen Mother's earrings and a diamond bracelet

The Art Room offers art therapy to children experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties, in order to increase their self-esteem, self-confidence and independence.Kate's week started on a high when she attended the world premiere of the new James Bond film, Spectre, alongside her husband Prince William and her brother-in-law Prince Harry.The popular royal looked ravishing for the 007 movie in a light-blue Jenny Packham gown with a sheer back. She completed her look with sparkly earrings and belt and an elegant updo.The next day, it was back to work as she headed to Islington, north London where she met staff and children from Chance UK and learned more about the work of the charity’s early intervention child mentoring programme.
