Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall: best moments from their tour

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall showed off their playful side, smiling and laughing as they handled the wildlife at the Orokonui Ecosanctuary.

The royals received a warm welcome from New Zealand with crowds of well-wishers swamping the couple.

Fans were so eager to see the royal couple they hung out of windows to get the best views.

One eager fan managed to steal a kiss from Prince Charles.

Prince Charles was all smiles as he greeted well-wishers on his 67th birthday. In honour of the occassion he was treated to a lavish red velvet cake at a celebratory barbecue.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall donned traditional kiwi feather coats to watch Maori warriors perform the haka.

Charles paid his respects to the current and former military personnel as he placed a poppy on the Roll of Honour at the Australian War Memorial.

Prince Charles was met with a traditional hongi greeting as he attended a tea party in Brooklands park with the Duchess of Cornwall.

Whilst on a truffle hunting trip The Duchess of Cornwall was given a stuffed toy version of the hunting dog, Samson, which she used to play with a young fan.

Whilst visiting the State Library to learn about the Learning English Through Stories programme, the Duchess was given flowers by a two year old Elizabeth Colquhoun.
