The royal family are more used to cold Christmases

The warm temperatures of Australia will form a stark contrast to the Christmas holidays that the royal children are used to. The family often spend the festive break in the mountains surrounded by snow.

This is the first time that Mary has returned to Australia with all of her children since 2011. It is believed that the family will return to her hometown of Hobart in Tasmania for Christmas week.
