The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, and her husband Prince William will both attend a special gala on Wednesday evening in honour of one of her patronages, East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH). The royal couple will be guests of honour at the glamorous charity event, which is being hosted by David Cholmondeley, the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley and his wife Sarah, Marchioness of Cholmondeley, at their country home, Houghton Hall in Norfolk.

William and Kate will both attend a gala in honour of EACH next week

The exclusive gala, which has been titled A Taste of Norfolk, is being held in celebration of the charity's recent appeal to raise funds for a new hospice, The Nook. Guests will be treated to a sumptuous five-course meal, cooked and created by five world renowned chefs: Galton Blackiston, Sat Bains, Claude Bosi, Tom Kerridge and Mark Edwards.

The evening will begin with a champagne reception during which there will be musical entertainment by the Jefford Brothers and Sam Aldersey-Williams, and an appearance from 22-year-old magician Archie Manners.

The Duchess has been patron of EACH since 2012

After dinner, the invitees will be treated to a performance from the charity's Treehouse Choir, before the evening is brought to a close with speeches from author and EACH ambassador Anthony Horowitz OBE, and host The Marquess of Cholmondeley.

Kate's association with EACH means a great deal to her. The mum-of-two has been royal patron of EACH since January 2012, and her very first public speech in March that same year was for the opening of the Treehouse, a children's hospice opened by the charity.

Kate opened an EACH charity shop in Holt in March of this year

Just a few months ago she stepped out on behalf of EACH to open a new shop in Holt, Norfolk, a short distance from Anmer Hall, the country home she shares with Prince William and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
