It's safe to say elbow bumps have become the go-to greeting choice among the royals. In recent weeks, as coronavirus restrictions begin to lift, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Charles have all been pictured saying hello to well-wishers without making too much contact.

Duchess of Cambridge

In April, Kate greeted members of the public with an elbow bump at the Cheesy Waffles Project in County Durham.

Prince Harry

Back in March 2020, the Duke of Sussex was spotted giving singer Craig David an "elbow bump" upon meeting him at the Commonwealth Day service. The unusual greeting came just before the UK went into lockdown.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Prince Charles ditched the handshake and greeted people with 'namaste' - but he has since been seen doing the elbow bump

On Wednesday, the Prince of Wales happily greeted well-wishers in this way during his visit to Bangor open-air market with his wife Camilla.

Back in December, Charles paid a visit to The Ritz in celebration of their 50th birthday. He stopped and greeted a group of passing women with an elbow bump - much to their delight!
