The youngest Grimaldi girl
She began school at the same Monaco convent her sister Caroline attended, and it was here she first exhibited her love of art, music and fashion. She also started to demonstrate her lifelong interest in sports, playing football, taking ballet lessons and trying her hand at gymnastics. A headstrong, impulsive child, early on she revealed a capacity to be passionate about whatever she set her mind to.

For her high school years she joined her sister Caroline in Paris, but upon graduating in 1982 showed little interest in following in her sibling's footsteps by entering university. Instead she returned to Monaco.
