Excitingly, she was thrilled with the cleaning machine – and the cherry on the top is the fact it’s currently 16% off in the Amazon sale. If you’re not adding to basket right now, you’re missing a treat.

Mrs Hinch – real name Sophie Hinchliffe – gave an extensive and honest review on her stories, after showing the mean cleaning machine in action.

“Ridiculously satisfying to use!” she began. “I loved every minute of it. Blasted almost everything (but Jamie and the kids) with steam.”

“It’s amazing for those who prefer chemical-free cleaning as you only add water, nothing else.”

“Loved it on the oven dials etc, the in-between areas that can be hard to get to with a spray and cloth.

“LOVED using it on the sofa! I’ll definitely be doing that again.”

“It’s fab at loosening any tough stubborn stains and marks… loved the result on my window followed by squeegee and Kermit.

There was a word of warning, however: “It’s powerful so blasts the debris out of deep grooves which is good but after I cleaned my kitchen window runners, for example, I looked down and the dirt was all over the worktop. So just be mindful of where you’re steam cleaning.”

Mrs Hinch's excitement ahead of trying the gadget was evident

Were there any downsides? “I did miss the after scent that I get from my cleaning sprays. I’m a very scent-driven person,” she said, adding: “I had to top it up a few times as the water runs out quite fast so maybe I was blasting too much.”

The main downside was as follows: “You have to plug it in so unless you have a socket where you’re wanting to steam clean it’s not ideal with the lead.”

If you want to try it for yourself, you can get the Comforday steam cleaner on Amazon reduced from £50.99 to £42.69.
