When five-year-old Hunter Ingersoll became a big brother he greeted his baby brother Wyatt in an unexpected way. Luckily, parents Stephanie and Jason Ingersoll managed to get the hilarious moment on camera.
Hunter met his brother Wyatt for the first time at the hospital
The video, which has been watched over 370,000 times on YouTube, shows Hunter sat on a seat in a hospital room. A nurse places Hunter's newborn brother in his arms, wrapped in a blanket with a hat on.
"Right there, so he lays in your hand," the nurse says. "There you go, good job," she added.
His funny reaction was caught on camera
As Hunter starts to get used to the baby the nurse says: "You look like you've done this before," but it quickly became apparent that wasn't the case.
The older brother got quite the shock when the little baby started screaming, leading him to react with a surprisingly loud shriek.
Baby Wyatt had a funny reaction to meeting his big brother
"It was his first time being around a new baby and he was really nervous. Plus, everyone was looking at him," father Jason told TODAY.com. "He seemed ready to hold Wyatt, but he clearly wasn't."
"It was probably just hitting him that he was no longer going to be an only child," Jason said. Despite their comical first meeting, the dad said they are the best of friends and Hunter even enjoys feeding Wyatt and making him laugh by playing peekaboo.
"He's really embraced big brotherhood," the dad said. "The two of them can't get enough of each other. It's pretty adorable."
