Following a weird and wonderful week that has seen her achieve global internet stardom, Candace Payne aka the "Chewbacca Mom" has visited the place that made it all possible – Facebook HQ. Mark Zuckerberg invited Candace to visit the social networking site's California offices on Tuesday after she created the most-watched Facebook Live video.
The Facebook founder organised a special surprise for his visitor – a meeting with the much-loved Chewbacca character from the Star Wars films.

Sharing photos of Candace and Chewbacca drinking tea and enjoying a bike ride around the grounds, Mark wrote: "We invited Candace Payne – whose Chewbacca mask video got 141 million views and is now the most-watched Facebook Live video ever – to come by Facebook HQ today. And we had a fun surprise for her!"
The original 'Chewbacca Mom' hysteria began when 37-year-old Candace bought the mask in a shop in Texas, and opened it up in the car park outside. Her infectious laughter, and lines including, "I'm such a happy Chewbacca", have made it the most-watched Facebook Live video of all time – to date it has been viewed more than 140 million times.

She has since been invited to join James Corden for his infamous Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late, Late Show, which also starred Star Wars director JJ Abrams.
Candace told James that they only reason she had made the video was to prove to her friends and family that the mask was hers – before her children claimed it for their own.
Speaking to the BBC about the popularity of her video, Candace said: "That's just crazy. I'm just laughing - in all honesty, that is ridiculous. I've looked at the number of views and it just seems like someone is just playing with a calculator."
She added: "I could see myself in the camera, and I saw this view and I could not stop laughing at how gleeful Chewbacca looked. I thought 'Chewbacca's found his joy!'"
