When seven-year-old Chloe Bridgewater wrote a letter to Google to apply for a job, she and her parents weren't expecting to hear back. However, the little girl's determination caught the attention of the company's CEO Sundar Pichai – and he took the time to personally reply! After reading Chloe's adorable letter in which she lists her goals including working "in a chocolate factory" and "do swimming in the Olympics", Sundar wrote back and urged her to "keep working hard and following your dreams". Chloe's dad Andy was so impressed by the business mogul's kind response that he posted a photo of the letter on his social media channels – and was blown away when the snap went viral.

"Dear Chloe, thank you so much for your letter," reads Sundar's reply. "I'm glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology." The CEO then encouraged Chloe to keep working towards her goals, no matter what they might be. "I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to – from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics," he wrote. It seems that Chloe's letter has also worked, as the entrepreneur concluded: "I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school!"
It's no wonder that the little girl's application stood out from the pack. Not only does she explain that she would love to work at the Google offices where she heard she "can sit on bean bags and go down slides and ride go karts", but she also explains that she likes computers and that her dad "gave me a game where I have to move a robot up and down squares".
The budding entrepreneur also highlights some of her key skills, explaining that her teachers "tell my mum and dad that I am very good in class and am good at spelling and reading and my sums". Admitting she doesn't "really know" what a job application is, she explains that dad Andy told her a "letter will do for now" – making the second letter she's ever written, the first being to Father Christmas!
Chloe's adorable letter caught the attention of google CEO Sundar
Speaking to HELLO! Online, proud dad Andy revealed that his daughter was literally jumping for joy when she realised who the letter was from. "Chloe was initially happy to receive the letter with the Google logo, then when I informed her it was from 'the boss' and gave her some more details, she was over the moon," he said. "She just kept jumping up and down!"
He explained that Chloe was first inspired to write to Google after chatting to her dad about what he did for a living. "She and I were talking about my job and what I do - I am a sales manager for a refrigeration company – and as a seven-year-old I could see this wasn't all that interesting to her," he revealed. "Then she asked where I would really like to work, so I said Google and continued to show her the cool offices with ball pits, slides, go karts and more. That set her heart on working there and hence the reason she wrote the letter."
Andy himself was initially sceptical when he saw the reply from Google, but was delighted to see Sundar had taken the time to reply. "Originally I was quite impressed with the reply from Google but just imagined it to be from a marketing team or PA at the most," he admitted. "When I saw it was from Sundar himself and actually signed by him I was blown away. I couldn't believe one man in such an important and elevated position in one of the biggest companies in the world could take time out to respond my daughter's letter."
