Little four-month-old baby Gracie Nye immediately stops crying when Ed Sheeran music is played! In a video taken by her mum, Joanne, Gracie is crying before Shape of You is played, causing the tot to become instantly quiet while listening to the tune. She then begins to move her hands to the music in the adorable video.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, her parents revealed that Ed's songs always help soothe her. Dad Gareth said: "Gracie was born with hip dysplasia so has had to wear a Pavlik Harness 24 hours a day and has done so from being two weeks of age. She is being treated at Alder Hey who are fantastic, but sometimes she gets really frustrated. But listening to Ed Sheeran calms her down. She loves all his songs but Shape of You and Perfect from his new album seem to be her favourites." He jokily added: "I think she's his youngest fan!"
The couple, who also share a seven-year-old daughter, Megan, revealed that the whole family are big fans of the star. "Me and Joanne are already going to see Ed in Manchester later in the year," Gareth said. "We have his music on regularly in the house and it was just by chance one day, a few weeks ago, that she was really upset and Shape of You came on and it calmed her right down. We thought it was just coincidence but it works every time."
Ed recently released the new music video for his hit song Galway Girl, which stars Oscar-nominated actress Saorise Ronan. In the video, Saoirse and Ed enjoy the evening together by heading to different pubs and dancing with fans. Tommy Tiernan and Hector Ó hEochagáin also make a cameo appearance as well as folk band Beoga.
