A summer night at the Verona opera

The famous Italian city of Verona is hosting a new edition of its annual festival in the magnificent Roman amphitheatre, a fitting setting for a homage to Franco Zeffirelli.

Don't miss this unique opportunity: the chance to enjoy world-class opera with international stars in the magnificent setting of the Roman amphitheatre of Verona. The 88th edition of the city's Arena di Verona Festival pays tribute to Franco Zeffirelli, who, himself 87, continues his work as stage director.

Five operas are drawn together under the masterful direction and stage design of Zeffirelli. Included in this series Tuto Zeffirelli are the works Turandot, Aida, Madame Butterfly, Carmen and Il Trovatore. Over 80 singers will take part in the spectacle, some of international renown, while others will be treading the boards of this unique stage for the first time. The skills of many artists, including conductor Giuliano Carella, world-famous tenor and conductor Placido Domingo, Oscar-winning designers Emi Wada and Anna Anni, and a host of acclaimed voices - Maria Guleghina, Amarilli Nizza, Hui He, Svetla Vassilev, Marco Berti and Marcelo Alvarez... - combine to make this an experience you won't forget.
