The White House turns into 'Winter Wonderland' for Christmas

The White House is officially ready for Christmas. The iconic Washington building, which is home to America's President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle, their two daughters Malia and Sasha and pet Portuguese Water dogs called Bo and Sunny, has been decked out with strings of Christmas lights, thousands of decorations, and of course several Christmas trees.

Looking like something from a fairytale, the halls of the White House have been lined with silver branches wrapped in twinkling lights, the president's fireplaces and furniture adorned with ornate festive pieces and large scrabble-style coasters reading 'Winter Wonderland' from the mantelpiece. Statue replicas of America's leading family's pets have even been made, and sit atop fake snow overlooking the festive proceedings.
