Cara Delevingne reveals her favourite island in the world

Cara Delevingne has revealed that her favourite island in the world is the long-standing celebrity hotspot, Parrot Cay resort by COMO. It's where Sofia Vergara and new husband Joe Manganiello just jetted for their honeymoon, where both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, and Bruce Willis and Emma Heming got married and where Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their six children spent Christmas in 2012.

Speaking of the private tropical island, which is located 575 miles southeast of Miami in the Turks and Caicos, the supermodel told Condé Nast Traveller: "It's the sheer sense of calm, of peace, that sets this apart from other islands in the Caribbean."

Explaining what she loves about Cay Parrot, Cara said: "...Being able to run along the beach to the beat of Pharrell on my headphones and not see anyone for miles, just run and run with nothing but wildlife and lush island greenness.

She also revealed how she enjoys her time on holiday on the island. "We windsurf, we play tennis, we walk around the island and kayak down the river. We go out deep-sea fishing and I reel in a huge barracuda."

The 23-year-old also makes sure she gets plenty of pampering, enjoying a different treatment every day at the resort's spa. Her favourite restaurant on the resort is called Lotus and it's perfectly situated by the pool.

"But," says, Cara, "if you only do one thing, lie on the beach all day, from sunrise to sunset, because it's the most beautiful beach in the world. Then stay right there, don't move, and watch the stars come out at night, every one of them blazing out so brightly across the sky, like nothing I've ever seen."

Villas at the swanky private island luxury resort, which has its own unspoilt mile-long white sandy beach, start at $5,200 a night.
