A St Patrick's Day quiz, a new rum bar and candlelit dinners in support of Earth Hour are among the fun activities on offer in the capital this week. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will also play host to Sport Relief, with flagship events taking place around the country.

Kung Fu Panda
Angelina Jolie, Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman have lent their voices to the new animated film Kung Fu Panda 3. Continuing his "legendary adventures of awesomeness" Po, played by Jack Black, must transition from student to teacher and train a group of fun-loving, clumsy pandas to become martial-arts fighters. Together, the gang take on the evil Kai, played by J.K. Simmons, a supernatural warrior who becomes stronger with each battle.

Asia de Cuba
This month Asia de Cuba in central London launches its official rum bar. Stocking an impressive 51 varieties of rum from 18 different countries, the bar will offer a wide range of expertly mixed drinks, including a unique menu of sugarcane based cocktails – straight from the bar's sugarcane press. Staff have also created a mojito and ceviche pairing menu that matches the restaurant's famous grouper, scallop and cobia ceviche with Havana Club cocktails.

St Patrick's quiz

Greg James, Jo Brand, James Cracknell and Jay McGuinness will be heading down to London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 20 March for the annual Sainsbury's Sport Relief Games. The flagship event will take place on Sunday, with activities and non-stop entertainment on offer for all ages to enjoy. Activities include showing off your dance skills at the Sure Skipping Arena, trying out one of 18 different sports with Sport England, taking part in the British Airways Flight Experience or testing out footie skills at the West Ham FC Hub. Sport Relief 2016 will take place throughout the weekend, with flagship events also taking place in Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow, Norwich and Sheffield. WWF's Earth hour falls on Saturday 19 March and to show their support, restaurants Rabbit and The Shed are turning the lights out and serving their customers candlelit dinners. Both restaurants will be offering a special six course tasting menu on the evening where guests will be asked to guess the ingredients to the dishes. Diners are encouraged to promote the eco-friendly event by using the hashtag #EarthHourUK on Twitter and following @wwf_uk.

Straight from the Philippines comes the launch of Romulo Cafe in Kensington, London. The new 70-seater restaurant, which opens on Thursday 24 March, will offer many of the signature dishes of its sister venues in Manila, including appetising bar food and healthy main dishes. The restaurant is divided into four areas and has been designed to evoke a private London home, with a few surprise touches.
