With January and February out of the way, it's time to try something new in 2016. In the coming-of-old-age comedy I'll See You in My Dreams, Carol, played by Blythe Danner, lets go of her inhibitions and rediscovers singing when she heads to a karaoke bar with her unlikely new companion, her pool maintenance guy Lloyd, played by Martin Starr.

A favourite with none other than Prince Harry, people travel far and wide to frequent the kitsch Battersea bar and restaurant that is Bunga Bunga. Dedicated to disgraced Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi, they host a karaoke session in the main room from 10pm every Wednesday and you can also book private karaoke parties. Continuing with the Italian theme there's a selection of Italian wines and beers on tap alongside Prosecco, Martini and Campari-based cocktails and don't get us started on the pizza menu.

Housed on the top floor of hipster watering hole The Old Queens Head, this karaoke room boasts a private setting where 15 of you can enjoy a night of belting out your favourite tunes. You'll even have your own personal host at your beck and call for the evening, all you have to do is press the booze button and the waitress will be there to take your order. The room comes complete with a dressing up box so you can really go to town with your Elton John impersonation.
