Theatrical Tipsy Tea

To commemorate the 400 years that have passed since William Shakespeare's death, Mr Fogg's Tavern in Covent Garden has launched its Aunt Gertrude's Tipsy Tea. The first theatrical afternoon tea that London has ever seen, the experience invites guests to partake in a twist on the classic English pastime. Every Saturday gin and champagne cocktails inspired by the Bard of Avon's most celebrated plays will be served in the gin parlour and salon, alongside a delectable array of homemade sweet and savoury delicacies. Mr Fogg's Tavern's resident magician, Dee Riley, will thrill guests with his mind-bending magic all afternoon. Tickets cost from £38 per person.

Midnight Special

Kristen Dunst, Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton star in new sci-fi drama Midnight Special. A father and son in Texas are forced to go on the run after the government and a group of religious extremists are drawn to the young boy, who possesses special powers. The dad, Roy, and his long-time friend Lucas, a state trooper, help bring the child to an undisclosed location on a specific date, unsure of whether a world-changing event may occur.

The Queen's birthday tea

Calling all Rolling Stones fans! The legendary rock band has staged their first ever major exhibition at London's Saatchi Gallery and has aptly named it Exhibitionism. Spread across two floors, the exhibition gives visitors a comprehensive and immersive insight into the lives of the popular musicians, and their fifty year history. Over five hundred unseen Rolling Stones artefacts are on display. The exhibition is open until September 2016.

World Book Night

In celebration of World Book Night, which falls on Saturday 23 April, the British Library is holding a special gala evening to celebrate reading and all things Shakespeare. Kicking off at 7pm, a stellar panel of authors will discuss the place of books in their lives, followed by a Shakespearean-inspired birthday party in the library's entrance hall. Special guests, performance, music, food and drink, as well as entry to the landmark exhibition Shakespeare in Ten Acts are included in the price of a ticket, which start from £14.

Hanami at ROKA
