Based on the true story of Louisa Gould, played by Jenny Seagrove, the film is a wartime drama set on the island of Jersey in the Second World War. Louisa finds out that she has lost her son at war, and when an escaped Russian prisoner of war turns up on her doorstep, she agrees to take him in, despite living on the Nazi-occupied Channel Island. She risks her life for the escapee, who she calls Bill and loves as her own son.
Looking for brunch with a twist? BabaBoom in Battersea has started serving up their famed Persian plates, brunch style. Those with a sweet tooth might want to try the barbary & tahini granola with natural yoghurt and soft spiced plums, or Baba's eggy bread, a devilish Persian style eggy bread with Nutella, clotted cream and homemade honeycomb.
