Britains best views

Britain is home to some incredible architecture, outstanding natural beauty and breathtaking vistas, but none are more spectacular than the view from the summit of Mount Snowdon, according to a new survey. More than 2,500 people took part in a study commissioned by Samsung to celebrate the launch of the new Galaxy S8 smartphone, taking their pick from a longlist of both ancient and modern sights across the UK, with Snowdonia in Wales taking the crown of the greatest British view.

Other landmarks to make the list spanned from the Three Sisters Mountains in Scotland to St Ives Bay in Cornwall, with the Houses of Parliament in London, Brecon Beacons and Kings College Cambridge all making the list. And it appears there are a few key criteria that make up a quintessentially British view including rolling countryside, rugged coastlines and country villages some of the top British scenes we know and love. Click through the gallery to see which landmarks made the cut – how many have you visited?
