The Female Guest Chef Series
The Female Guest Chef Series at J. Sheekey Atlantic Bar is back with a stella line-up! During April, May and June, guests can experience the unique flavours and cooking styles of Anna Tobias, Rachel Roddy and Ching He Huang, who will each cook alongside Head Chef Andrew McLay for one night only. Each chef's menu will be in keeping with J. Sheekey Atlantic Bar’s signature, family-style sharing plates. Expect a minimum of three courses.

Hooray for the Bank Holiday! Jazz up your long weekend and celebrate international jazz day on Sunday 30 April with a limited-edition Jazz Afternoon Tea. Guests at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane can sit down to a sumptuous tea, inspired by the Jazz Age heritage, and of course accompanied by live music during weekend sittings. Want to get involved in the fun boat parade, Canalway Cavalcade Festival, on Bank Holiday Sunday? Here's how! London Shell Co., the floating restaurant aboard The Prince Regent canal boat, is inviting guests to hop on board to join them for the procession. Bring glow sticks, sparkly things, UV paint and anything that will help shine a light to make London Shell Co the brightest boat!
Guests will be given a welcome drink on arrival. The boat will depart Paddington Central at 8pm and travel down to the Sainsbury's Ladbroke Grove Superstore, before turning around and joining the illuminated boat procession back in to Little Venice.
Tickets for Royal Ascot, one of the most prestigious meetings in the racing calendar, are now on sale and guests looking for a more luxurious experience should book in to The Furlong Club.
The upgraded ticket gives racegoers access to a private bar and lounge area, coupled with seating and views of the track from the one furlong pole. Prices start from £191, and include a Queen Anne Enclosure ticket. Royal Ascot runs from 20 to 24 June this year.
Europe's largest women's focus fitness festival is back this Bank Holiday weekend at the Business Design Centre in Islington. The three-day celebration will feature motivational talks from top female fitness influencers, complimentary health checks, body treatments, plus a shopping village filled with top brands in the health and fitness industry.
New for this year is a Be:FIT yoga studio, plus a cycling space and Be:FIT braid bar. The Reebok Fitness Studio will also be returning with classes from Equinox, Barry's Bootcamp, PHIIT London, BLOK London.

Operation Red Rocket
Just when you thought you'd seen it all, a space-themed pop-up recruiting astronauts lands in London. Promising a completely unique experience, nab a ticket and check into Operation Red Rocket for a futuristic dining affair where an exquisite five-course menu will transport diners to 1965, using out-of-this-world ingredients. Guests can expect a tantalising cocktail on arrival before being welcomed into the research lab, where intergalactic music and theatre reign supreme. Tickets for this retro quest are £55.
Royal National Lifeboat Institution's annual Mayday campaign
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution's annual Mayday campaign is back, raising awareness for the charity that saves lives at sea. To show their support, the cast of Stomp temporarily swapped their dancing shoes for the charity's iconic yellow wellies.
The RNLI's Mayday campaign runs throughout May and aims to raise £750,000 to fund lifesaving kit for the charity's brave volunteer crews. Mayday fundraising events are taking place right across the UK and Ireland, many with a yellow welly theme.

Southbank's popular festivals Udderbelly and London Wonderground have been combined this year, introducing a new mega festival, Underbelly! Opening this Friday, just in time for Bank Holiday, the festival delivers comedy, cabaret, circus and kids shows.
