Pergola Paddington Central
London life is best enjoyed from a rooftop and this summer, Pergola is launching at Paddington. The new venue and sister site to White City's much-loved Pergola on the Roof will be West London's largest alfresco drinking and dining destination. Its communal seating area will host up to 850 guests, for lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
Set over two floors, the venue will feature DJs, live music and restaurant favourites including Patty & Bun, Mamalan and DF/Mexico. And the best thing? Unlike most London venues, Pergola's booking policy means that guests won't find themselves queuing around the block in a scramble for seats.
FOOD AND DRINK
Staying true to real Neapolitan-style pizza, Firezza restaurant has just opened on Dean Street in Soho. The pizza site is the perfect stop for those in a rush, with pizzas cooked and ready in just six minutes! Or for those wanting to relax, sit back and enjoy a casual meal with friends.
Pizzas are ideal for sharing, served atop wooden boards - it's a real social experience! We recommend porcini di bosco pizza for mushroom lovers, or the patate pizza for a real carb load. And don't miss the fresh buffalo mozzarella and ham for starters!
Silent Sounds Boat Party
Get up close and personal with London's most iconic sights this Saturday and hop aboard the Silent Sounds Boat Party. This scenic soiree will see you floating along the Thames under a blanket of stars, with the night's soundtrack in your hands. Choose from three different DJ sets and marvel at breathtaking views of the London Eye and Tower Bridge as you dance the night away. You'll be glad to know that the boat is set across two floors and there's a bar on each deck, so a glass of fizz will never be too far away on this four-hour party cruise.
Belgravia in Bloom is back for a second year, running from 22nd to 27th May to coincide with the Chelsea Flower Show. London's prettiest area will be bedecked with floral installations and displays, while events focusing on this year's theme of Children's Books will also be on offer.
Retailers such as Rococo Chocolate are already signed up to create a display within their store front inspired by renowned children's book James and the Giant Peach. The Halkin hotel will be drawing inspiration for their display from the adventures of Paddington Bear. Visitors will be able to download walking maps online to make sure they don't miss a thing.
The Chelsea Flower Show kicks off on Tuesday and to celebrate, The Cinnamon Club is playing host to a spectacular Secret Spice Garden pop-up all of next week. The mezzanine gallery dining room will be transformed into a floral oasis, with beautiful wild Vanda orchids and tropical palm leaves cascading along the walls.
The chefs have created an innovative floral-inspired five course tasting menu, incorporating edible flowers and wild spices into modern-Indian dishes alongside a Secret Spice Garden cocktail range.
