Explore musical Tallinn for a picture perfect escape through history

The famous view of the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from the viewing platform high in the Upper Town. With only two routes up into the noble-founded Upper Town from the merchant Lower Town it's hard to miss and well worth the uphill climb.

The Old Town Hall is a symbol of Tallinn's merchant history, and dominates the Lower Town. Surrounded by cafes, antique stores and an old apothecary, the square is the perfect place to stop for a coffee and watch the world go by. 

The 1900 Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is the newest buildings in the Old Town and it's bright colours and many domes standsout among the spires of nearby Lutheran churches. The Russian Orthodox church features 11 bells cast in St Petersberg. 

Don't miss the local crafts and artisans shops dotted around the city, from the Old Town to the Telliskivi Creative City. Marzipan, wooden cutlery, candles and black bread are all staple Estonian goods perfect for souvenirs.

The view of the twisting spires of Tallinn Old Town from the roof of the Kultuurikatel centre, the former power station turned creative studio, concert space and restaurant whose towering chimney is an iconic part of the new city skyline.
