Meg Ryan buys £7million apartment in star-studded New York building

Meg Ryan has become the latest famous face to snap up an apartment in what is becoming one of New York's most star-studded buildings. The When Harry Met Sally star has paid £7million for a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom home in the converted book bindery in Tribeca, according to property website Trulia.

The actress is certainly in good company in her new home; other residents in the building include Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Harry Styles, plus new owners Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence has also recently listed her apartment in the building for the huge sum of £21,000 per month.

It's easy to see why the building is proving so alluring to the stars; as well as providing spacious apartments in the heart of Manhattan, there are also a number of impressive amenities and security features including a 24-hour doorman, 71-foot indoor pool, a Turkish bath and landscaped roof deck for residents to enjoy – how we would love to be a fly on the wall in that building! Meg is moving from a stunning loft conversion apartment in Soho to this apartment in Tribeca, and previously told Architectural Digest that she loves renovating homes. However she won't have much renovation work to do in her new home, which has a modern, open plan design spread over a 3,155 square foot property.

The kitchens in the apartments within this converted book bindery all feature a similar design, with traditional wooden beams running throughout and an open plan layout. There is a fitted kitchen complete with modern appliances, a breakfast bar and large separate dining table area where Meg can entertain a number of guests.

Meg's new apartment has three bedrooms, including this large master suite which has plenty of space for a king size bed, separate desk area and large wardrobe to store the Hollywood star's clothes. With a neutral décor, renovation enthusiast Meg will soon be able to put her own personal stamp on the property.

The actress has three-and-a-half bathrooms in her new apartment, including this luxurious master en suite. The bathroom has a large free-standing bath tub and separate shower room, plus a large double sink area, offering plenty of space for Meg to get ready for red carpet appearances and high profile events.

Meg will be able to enjoy a number of impressive amenities and facilities in her new home, including this 71-foot swimming pool and Turkish bath, which she will share with fellow famous residents including Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and One Direction star Harry Styles.
