Karl hasn't been able to resist paying homage to his beloved cat, Choupette, who has over 100,000 Instagram followers. A rectangular rhinestone-studded cushion features a playful print inspired by the famous feline, and adds a fun touch to the collection.

The 83-year-old has a passion for interior design, and recently designed two signature suites as part of a recent £150million renovation at Hôtel de Crillon in Paris. Karl, who is an authority on 18th century antiques, appears to have followed a more-is-more mantra when it comes to designing the rooms, with marble bathroom suites, huge crystal chandeliers and plush velvet sofas among the standout features.

A growing number of celebrities are making a foray into homeware, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Amanda Holden and Holly Willoughby, who has her own bedding range at Dunelm. Meanwhile high street stores such as Monsoon and Aldi have also launched their own homeware lines, which have proved a hit with shoppers.
