Airbnb has revealed its top ten most Wish Listed properties in the UK from users around the world, with this historic castle in Cumbria topping the list. With its idyllic location on the edge of both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, it is easy to see why the historic Augill Castle, which dates back to 1841, is so popular. The castle has 15 grand rooms to choose from, making it ideal for a group getaway, with many of the bedrooms featuring four poster beds, roll top baths and traditional fireplaces. A stay at the property costs £170 per night, with breakfast included.

For an unusual and romantic weekend away, it can't get much better than this Old Smock Mill, nestled in the Kent countryside. The four storey building has been carefully restored, with a beautiful bedroom furnished with a king size bed, a spiral staircase that leads up to the bathroom, and the original wooden beams running throughout. A stay costs £175 per night.

Another castle to make the list is the 12th century Dairsie Castle, which is just a 15 minute drive away from St Andrews. A one night stay for 13 will set you back £550.
