Going skiing or snowboarding this season? Or even just wishing you were? Then get yourself down to the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show in Batteresea this weekend for a little taster of life on the slopes. 

With appearances from Baywatch star David Hasselhoff, snow sports legend Travis Rice and the BSS athletes, this is a show you won't want to miss! There will be incredible stunts on display at Mount Battersea, and for those with kids - an ice skating rink in the middle of the exhibition. What's more, kids under 11 get in free so it's a really fab day out for the whole family.

Brick or Treat is back at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort this October, featuring spectacular all new LEGO NINJAGO-themed fireworks to celebrate the opening of LEGO NINJAGO World.

Little ones can get stuck into a range of spooky activities from a LEGO Skeleton Big Build to building their own LEGO and DUPLO pumpkins for the pumpkin patch. There will be a special spooky takeover of the DUPLO Puppet Theatre shows, as well as the chance to meet everyone's favourite costume characters Frankie, the friendly monster, Lord Vampyre and Orange Brick. And it wouldn't be Brick or Treat without a fancy dress competition and the chance to see the world's smallest LEGO pumpkin patch in Miniland!

On 21/22 and 27/28 October the skies will light up with a truly spectacular fireworks display, inspired by the awesome world of LEGO NINJAGO. Guests can expect magnificent pyrotechnics perfectly choreographed to a dynamic soundtrack in a truly memorable display. Don't forget your LEGO 3D glasses to see the fireworks explode into thousands of tiny LEGO bricks!

Ice skating at the Natural History Museum

Is it too early to start talking about Christmas? Those who love to get into the festive spirit early will be thrilled to hear that the ice skating rink is opening at the Natural History Museum in London on Thursday 26th October, until 7th January. It's the perfect way to embrace the Christmas season, skating around a sparkling 30ft Christmas tree with the stunning museum as your backdrop. Skaters will also have the chance to warm up with a luxurious Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate after in the café bar, which also has a perfectly-positioned viewing balcony for non-skaters.

Half term at the palaces

This October, families can join in and take part in all the fun at the palace! A host of activities is being put on at the Queen's official residences in London, Windsor and Edinburgh, from 3D design and animation workshops for older children to music recitals and storytelling for little ones.

At Buckingham Palace on Saturday 21st October, children can tour the stables followed by a watercolour session of the horses and carriages. Later on in the week, children can take part in the Big Draw, the world's biggest festival of art and drawing. See the website for the full listings.

Q Brunch and Q Lunch at Quaglino's

A-Lister favourite Quaglino's in central London has unveiled its new weekend brunch and lunch menu - and it's too scrumptious to resist! Available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11.30am-2.30pm, the menu offers two and three courses, plus an option of unlimited bubbles for just £20 more. Starters include rock oysters, chicken terrine and smoked salmon, while mains include sea bream, saffron risotto and venison tartare. Sunday diners can also make the most of the traditional roast option. The Q Brunch and Q Lunch series will also feature live music with a roaming band performing a medley of funk, soul and disco hits as you dine. What's not to love?

Moules and frites lovers, listen up! Belgo, the country's favourite Belgian beer and food emporium, is unveiling a new menu next week which will include delectable cocktails and some exciting dishes. Of course, the classics will still be on the menu. The restaurant is known and loved for its Belgian moules and frites, which come in a range of sauces, as well as its rotisserie chicken. Other mains include lobster and steaks - there really is something for everyone. And make sure you leave space for Belgo's sweet treats, which are heavy on the waffles and crepes, and, you guessed it, Belgian chocolate.

PJ Masks - Time to be a Hero

This October, budding young superheroes will be delighted as Entertainment One's hugely popular preschool TV show, PJ Masks, will be soaring onto DVD for the first time EVER!
 

Perfectly timed for Halloween fun, PJ Masks – Time to be a Hero features six fan-favourite episodes and follows the exciting adventures of Connor, Amaya and Greg. The three friends attend school like everyone else, but when something goes awry in the city, they get ready for their mission. As day turns to night, the heroes put their pyjamas on and activate their animal amulets. They magically transform into their dynamic superhero alter egos: Catboy, Owlette and Gekko and become the fantastic and unstoppable PJ Masks team.

The Mummy

Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis and Sofia Boutella star in The Mummy, which is out on DVD on Monday 23rd October. Algerian actress Sofia said of working with Hollywood star Tom: "Tom was just incredible. He's such a passionate man. He loves making films. And his knowledge about them is endless. He really cares about making movies and making them the right way. When you're on set with him, that's the number one priority and he's sharing his knowledge with everybody around him. I had a blast being on set with him."
