Curling at Queensway

Sliders have arrived at West London for the city's first on-real-ice social curling experience which will be sure to bowl everyone over. Sliding into Queensway, prepare to team up with friends, family and foes and compete against each other at central London’s only permanent all-year round ice rink.

At QUEENS, Sliders features 8 real ice, freshly marked curling lanes, alongside a super-cool soundtrack under a giant disco ball. Bowling's wonderfully weird winter cousin is here!

The Raclette Bar

The festive season is drawing in, and with it comes the perfect excuse to indulge on warming comfort food. London is obsessing over cheese fondue at the minute, so it's no surprise that a bar dedicated to raclette is making its way to Clapham this week. You'll find this cheesy pop-up nestled above The Treehouse Pub, serving a scrumptious alpine menu from Le Rac Shack.

Start with alpine tapas like raclette croquettes and baked camembert, before moving onto the main event where you'll melt three varieties of raclette on your very own grill, to slide onto a selection of delicious meats and roasted vegetables. For dessert, you can look forward to an indulgent chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and raspberries. Better yet, the three-course menu will only set you back £28.

Pergola Paddington Central Winter

Pergola Paddington Central is back and open for business. Fully covered and fully winter-proofed, the venue has transformed into one of London's biggest urban winter retreats. Vauxhall Winter Village

Vauxhall Winter Village is back this year, opening on Thursday 16 November and running for six weeks until Christmas. Après-ski style food, drink and entertainment are all on offer at the free-to-enter pop-up, which will be open every weekday from 11.30am to 10pm, and selected weekends until Friday 22 December. Visitors will find hot mulled beverages, roasted chestnuts, cosy blankets and heated seating booths, while retro dressing up and photobooth bombing are strongly encouraged.

The Allegory

Ready to wave goodbye to alfresco dining? Then head to Shoreditch's latest offering, The Allegory. This fancy location is the perfect everyday escape after a long day in the office. With chic industrial interiors, a beautiful open plan bar and a delicious signature menu, Drake & Morgan's newest opening is this season's go-to destination for the finest dining and drinking. Dishes to try include; succulent tuna and green papaya salad, roasted cauliflower and pesto fettuccine or the pan-fried salmon with braised lentils. Covent Garden Lights Switch On

Covent Garden is the number one and ultimate Christmas destination this year. The festive celebrations start with a 'switch on' extravaganza in the Piazza on Tuesday 14 November led by the cast of acclaimed hit West End musical 42nd Street and special guest Pudsey, as Covent Garden teams up with BBC Children in Need for the first time. They will also be joined by additional special guests to switch on the lights, while the company of 42nd Street will perform some of the most iconic numbers from the show. Head there before 6pm on 14 November to see the spectacular display.
